Prof. Dr. Palocz-Andresen, teacher of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Institute of Mathematics and Physics of Szombathely is going to visit Tokyo University between 14 and 29 April 2014 where he will give lessons and lead discussions with professors and representatives of the industry.

The receiving institute is the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics of the Faculty of Engineering. Prof. Palocz-Andresen was the host-professor of Dr. Tomohiro Yokozeki, who researched in his institute in Hamburg in 2010 and 2011. The trip is supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Bonn, Germany.

Under the presentations of Prof. Palocz-Andresen there are two lessons from Hungary:

-          Palocz-Andresen M., Szalay, D., Varga T.: Decreasing Emissions Closed Airports, which study publishes a recommendation to improving the highly polluted air closed airports and other traffic knots. The solution is the enhanced market introduction of environmental friendly driven vehicles on these highly exposed routes.

-          Szalay D., Palocz-Andresen M.: Impact of Climate Change on Aviation Biofuel Production. The report analyses the impacts of the climate change on international biomass production and suggests to avoiding the collision with the food and feed industry and protects plants with a high resistance against drought. The report considers the CO2 balance of energy plantations and makes a recommendation to improving sustainability of biomass production.

In a further lesson, Prof. Palocz-Andresen is showing the development of the aviation industry from the beginning to the future. In a second lesson, he will present the sustainable development of jet engines. He is planning the organization of a European Humboldt Kolleg, a scientists’ council similarly to the Hungarian Humboldt Workshop in Sopron in 2010.
